Multi-millionaire old timer Merv Griffin gave out his last breath on Sunday. Griffin died of prostate cancer: he was 82 years old.
The game show tycoon, who had “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” under his belt, started out with just $100 a week as a San Francisco radio singer, but eventually made his way up to appear on the Forbes list as one of the richest people in the world, several times.
His show “The Merv Griffin Show”, lasted more than 20 years and he attributes his success to listening to the people.
But of course his biggest successes came when he himself invented “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” which still go on very strongly today.
