Maggie Gyllenhaal’s on Fire!

While on the set of her new movie, which is the Batman sequel, “The Dark Knight!”, Maggie Gyllenhaal’s clothes caught on fire! And who played the hero to save her? None other than…the Joker, played by Heath Ledger who jumped in to save his co-star.
The accident occurred during a scene where the Joker confronts Maggie’s district attorneys and a pyrotechnics display suddenly explodes behind him, sending fireworks into the air.
Instead, the special effect generator toppled over and balls of flame jetted at Maggie who screamed as sparks set her skirt on fire. Like the brave man that he is, Heath threw himself on top of Maggie and pushed her down, smothering the flames with his body.
Maggie was okay in the end, and thanked Heath with a kiss on the cheek to which Heath replied: ” I got a better kiss from your brother!” referring to his passionate lip-lock with Maggie’s brother, Jake Gyllenhaal in “Brokeback Mountain”.
