Oprah Gives 365K to Atlanta School

Oprah did her good deed for the year by surprising teacher Ron Clark with a check for $365,000 to help with his private school.
The private school that Clark opened in Atlanta is located in one of the poorest neighborhoods and he said that when he received the check it was like an answer to a prayer.
“We teach school all day and fundraise at night,” said Clark, who finds private donors to pay most of the $14,000 annual tuition for each student. “To have an unsolicited gift come like that is incredible.”
