R Kelly to be Tried for Child Pornography

Rapstar R Kelly is set to go on trial on Sept 17, merely 5 years after after he was charged with child pornography. The judge has decided on the date, gathering up a jury for the start of the trial, according to the Cook County state attorney’s office.
Kelly, who has obviously pleaded not guilty, is being charged on 14 counts of child pornography. He was first charged in 2002 for having sexual relations and videotaping the act with an underage girl.
Kelly’s attorneys try to fight back saying that Kelly isn’t on the tape, and that someone edited the face and put his instead! This insane story was also followed by another explanation, saying that they have doubts about the real age of the girl.
The case has been dragged on for way too long. Since the allegations, Kelly has had six best-selling albums and three nationwide tours.
The R&B singer feels confident over his trials as he speaks to the Associated Press in 2005:
“I’m going through my own struggle … and you’re either gonna fold or you’re going to stand, and I believe in standing.”
